As a clear objective, the company pursues a careful use of resources – from minimized effort during production to resource-saving operation after completion of a building.

Here you can learn more about the sustainability strategy of Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr.

Climate Protection

Together with ClimatePartner, Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr has determined the carbon footprint of the company from its foundation in 2014 until today. The largest sources of emissions and the greatest potential for reductions were identified.

In addition to the direct emissions of electricity and energy in the Cologne offices, employee mobility, business travel and estimated fuel consumption of business and private trips were examined and evaluated.

Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr fully compensates the emissions caused. The company continues to monitor these with the aim of ongoing improvement.

By financing certified climate protection projects in the amount of the calculated emissions, Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr is helping to close the enormous financing gap in global climate protection.

Reduction Measures

In order to continuously reduce its emissions, Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr has already implemented the following reduction measures.

• Switch to green electricity

• Establishment of a charging infrastructure for the expansion of e-mobility

• Reduction of consumption (electricity, energy)

• Financing of public transport tickets for climate-friendly mobility

• Provision of a pool vehicle

• Less print, more digital

• Strict waste separation
