The realization of the new Central Library at Kennedyplatz in Essen represents Lang & Cie. Rhein-Ruhr’s significant contribution to the development of the city center.
The meticulously revitalized existing structure is set to become the focal point for media and knowledge within the Essen community. Envisioned is a forward-thinking library concept, offering a diverse range of educational and media spaces. The new central library will provide ample room for collaborative learning, digital laboratories, music studios, and event venues to serve as community meeting spaces. Furthermore, it will house specialized sections for music, children, and youth, along with a dedicated café for the convenience of visitors.
